Hi folks! Phew. A bit later than I wanted to be, but that's what happens when your animation is spaghetti code...Warning! Game may be buggy! Be prepared to reload! Save system should work, but let me know if it doesn't!
I'll do a longer post about the project tomorrow, but for now, here's the somewhat complete "first level" for Project Vessel. Everything was going smoothly until I recorded the video, and the transition to the final scene broke the animation completely?! Reloading the animation fixed it, but if it continually happens, I'll have to fix it later. Try reloading if it bugs out on you, too!
Depending on whether that bug is difficult to fix and how laggy the animation is, I may well call Project Vessel here, or if I continue it, it'll begin fresh, perhaps where this demo ends. Maybe I'll just do something else, shorter and simpler, with actual game mechanics lol.
Anyway, it's late and I have a lot of posts to make tomorrow. I hope you enjoy the demo, and thanks for your patience. TTFN!

Yeah, it's a mixture of messy programming but I also wanted the progression to be a sort of surprise when you opened the menu. I didn't quite pull it off, unfortunately. Maybe next time I can implement the idea better. And all criticisms / feedback is welcome! Sometimes feedback can help me avoid making a disastrous of a mistake, so I'm always open to people's thoughts. Thanks for letting me know!

I know this is late, and if it had already been addressed, I do apologize. When I was playing the itch.io version/link I did find the fruit was a little particular as to where I grabbed it from. Specifically if I came at it from the right side it would not trigger the indication of progression/the progression itself. While this isn't necessarily a bad thing-because of the room layout-it did have a similar instance if I "missed" the fruit by going all the way to the left wall from the right side. I would go past the fruit, not pick it up, then move left, "pick up" the fruit (in that the sprite would disappear), and still give no indication of progression. Again if this is late and has already been addressed, I do apologize for any unnecessary worry. I still love all your animations and always look forward to them whenever they come out! :)
