Sorry to be a pain in the ass about piracy. First of all I want to thank most of you because we know you don't do it and you support us a lot. But unfortunately at least two people are sharing the files, and that hurts us a lot.
I want you to think that each figure we design has a value of more than 200 euros in the market. To make them we stop taking orders. This month, for example, the value of the sculpture is strictly around 3000 euros. And that's without counting other expenses such as painting, printing proofs, etc.
With your support we are making this last, but every time all the work appears in groups with hundreds of users dedicated to hacking, the blow is very hard.

Ya tenemos aqui los archivos del mes. Esta todo impreso y revisado.
Siento ser coñazo con el tema de la piratería. Ante todo quiero daros las gracias a la mayoría porque sabemos que no lo hacéis y nos apoyáis mucho. Pero por desgracia al menos dos personas están compartiendo los archivos, y eso nos hace muchísimo daño.
Quiero que penséis que cada figura que diseñamos tiene un valor de mas de 200 euros en el mercado. Para hacerlas dejamos de coger encargos. Este mes por ejemplo el valor estrictamente de la escultura es en torno a 3000 euros. Y eso sin contar otra serie de gastos como la pintura, pruebas de impresión, etc.
Con vuestro apoyo estamos haciendo que esto dure, pero cada vez que todo el trabajo aparece en grupos con cientos de usuarios dedicados al pirateo, el golpe es muy duro.

Hello Istvan First of all thank you for your support. As I have explained in this post, for Last Sword each month of this Patreon means an approximate cost of 3000 euros in sculpture. Right now the income doesn't reach 2000. There are 3 people dedicating half of their time exclusively to it, in addition to the painters. With that amount of resources invested, we can't dedicate one more minute to it. We need to reach a minimum that will make our permanence profitable. The 350 that unlocks the supports is the minimum point at which we can put aside other projects, and dedicate more time or resources to it. I hope you understand this, and help us by sharing to reach these figures.

That really sucks about the piracy and I'm sorry you are feeling the effects of it. I hope by outlining the harm it causes to you, those doing it cease. Loving and supporting your models from the Philippines!

We like to think that people are not aware of the harm they do. That's why we try to educate and explain the situation. If someone prints miniatures for his friend, we are not worried about it. If it filters into groups of hundreds or thousands of people, it is a big problem. Let's see if little by little people become aware that most of us are very small companies and that all income is important.

I know piracy absolutely sucks. The STL distribution process will mature over time, and eventually there will be better controls to help combat piracy but it will never be fully preventable. Rest assured there are many people who really love your work and are willing to pay for it and support your company, and the people who pirate it don't, and wouldn't pay for it. It is no great loss to the thieves if all of a sudden they stop receiving stolen goods for free, they'll just move onto the next thing. I wish there was something more positive to say here on this subject. Bad, immoral people are going to do bad, immoral things - it is who they are.
