regarding gintama openings
🕑 Added 2024-09-14 14:25:26 +0000 UTChey guys, ive been busy with my 2nd and 3rd channel and i knew i was gonna keep doing that so i pre-recorded gintama reactions until up to episode 208, and unfortunately, i didn't react to the openings in any of them.
i was told its safe to watch at episode 212 but if u guys say its okay then imma trust ur word for it~
coincidentally, can u guys tell me what openings i should watch from episode 203-208? i wanna check out the easter eggs i missed before i start reacting to the next episodes

The openings list which I made for you was very strict so that you wouldn't even see the smallest spoilers like seeing new characters and maybe some foreshadowing to upcoming arcs (usually not serious) ect. The only big spoilers are on opening 17 and also on opening 19 if you decide to watch Gintama Porori-hen before episodes 300+ That said you can watch the openings if you don't mind seeing new characters and foreshadowing to arcs beforehand but remember to skip op 17v4 and op 19 before ep315. Oh yeah and I'm sorry I completely forgot about the easter eggs when I made the list.

The only “spoilers” gintama openings have is showing characters you haven’t seen yet but I can’t think of many instances where they blatantly show an important plot point regarding said character

Nah, I have no idea what is considered too spoilery, I always watched a new Gintama opening and personally never felt spoiled. But people have different opinions, and I think people will be pretty split about this. The openings tend to add small things for the joke, but outside of the ones I listed to you- they are all pretty small, and most miss them on the first watch anyway I think (I did at least). And there is no actual list that I know of listing every opening that has changes to it sadly, so I think you just gotta go with what you feel like.

All of them are about as spoilery as the ones you've already seen, so you can judge it yourself. If you or the person who gave you that list think that showing Jiraia or Gedomaru in op 8 is a "spoiler", than... yeah. Honestly, people hyping you up with next arcs is a bigger spoiler than any opening or ending. Especially when you know that openings might bullshit you (like when they show you Sakamoto, Takasugi or Joui wars even though they are gonna appear). Gintama staff tries to give us the best experience and all of the ops and eds are part of it.

I myself always watch the OP, but I never the type to like, pause and analyze anything from op/ed scene. I hear it because (most of them) I like it. So I'd say just watch it from 209, there will be new character appearances, but that's it. Also, be prepared for the next arc comingggg, one of the bestoooooo I can't waiiiittttt
