Marinette's Narrow Escape

Not only is this my first big comic of the year, but it's my first comic with my new Marinette model! Overall, I think this comic turned out really well! This is one of those few instances where I experiment with the lighting in a comic more often, rather than just outright darken it. The lighting towards the end of it was a little tricky to master, what with mmd levels of lighting being pretty far behind blender's, but it's definitely not the worst. I really hope you all enjoyed this piece from me! I plan on making another comic with her very soon before tackling new comic ideas, so stay tuned! Also, let me know which cover art you prefer!
Some author's notes:
I am still working on giving Marinette's model the proper parts for an uncensored version, but for now I'm happy with her simply covering up.
I wanna attempt to port the other models from the new video game, such as Adrian, Chloe, Alya, and Lila. The main issue is their hair though, so only time will tell if I can do those.
To not make the difference between the models too apparent, I chose to block out the upper half of my older Miraculous models. Zoe, however, came from the first Miraculous mobile game, which is much lower resolution that the console game Rise of the Sphinx. I'm hoping to see better quality models in their latest app game though. Maybe someone will port those as well!
I also tried out a new editing technique with Ladybug's transformation back to Marinette. I actually used three separate layers, like how many 2D artists do, and sort of merged them into one piece. It's not perfect, but I think this method was really helpful for making the comic feel more canon with the original show.

Your ideal game is pretty much the same as mine! Maybe do the social link thing and make it a bit like persona or fire Emblem where you build relationships and unlock new heroes for free roam instead of story exclusive fights.

I didn't realize there were multiple ladybug games; makes sense given the franchise has been around for a while and is popular but I doubt the games that are out would be up my alley gameplay wise. Its a long shot that will probably never happen but I guess my ideal Ladybug game would be a open world environment Paris that you can explore in civilian form when you're not doing heroics and given the large cast of characters I would include social link like events that unlock as you go through the game. What about you? what kind of elements would you want in a Ladybug game?

There is some shipping with them both around the Fandom, for different reasons! And agreed! There were also Nino and Nathaniel who had crushes on her as well. Someone even pointed out that all of the creative people seem to crush on her. Man, that's a shame! Hopefully once season 5 is done, you'll be able to catch up!

Sees the last pic. Am I about add Zoe to the list of people I ship Marinette with? ( Granted the only other people on that list right now are Adrien and Luka) I really need to get caught up on the show but literally every time I try to sit down and watch it on my day off I get called into work.

Always did love scenarios like this. πAnyway the lighting and shading throughout the comic is really good different areas have different amount of light and as for the covers I'm leaning towards the first one mainly because our heroine is standing directly under a working street light so I think that particular shot being brighter fits better than the second one. Looking forward to seeing the other comic you have planned for Marinette. More nighttime adventures maybe?
