The script for the scene that they gave me was one one where Chase on some level knows that this embrace is a bad idea, but chooses instead to think about the "good old days". I was told this is before shit really hits the fan in this storyline too, and wanted to reflect that in the painting;
So they're looking at the sunset, with golden clouds behind them - but also a storm rolling in. The decay of the town they're in is visible everywhere. It just ain't a happy place.

aw, i need to play that game again since its been so long, the scene is really touching and melancholy, i think you reflected the emotion well with the abandoned or run down environment of the town
