🕑 Added 2022-12-19 22:12:50 +0000 UTCI struggled a lot with this one!! Realised that it was cos I'd originally rushed the making of it and had to restart - but there are always lessons and ideas you can take away from the failed attempt. The chains were modelled and rendered in Maya and then I painted over them!

Really no magic to it! Doing a quick value sketch is where it's at and really helps avoid problems and inform decision-making re: colours for me. The rest is just me being somewhat familiar with the materials being rendered - e.g. leather is reflective but has a rough surface which makes reflections soft and so on. At least that's how I try to thunk!
