I Was Wiped (Poll!)
🕑 Added 2021-10-03 07:42:55 +0000 UTCYesterday, so I took a nap, which honestly turned into an all day sleep a thon. I'm now pretty refreshed, so I'll be working on the game until it's ready to be released! I'll keep you all closely updated.
My 2 months from hell is almost up. After this release I will be able to come at the game a bit more refreshed. I've been thinking about how the game would unfold after the prologue (which could be here sooner than I initially thought) and I wanted to get some opinions.
The way Bai's academy life plays out, is -- due to the way time flows on the mountain -- he will have a certain amount of tasks that need to be done during a year of his academia. Each year, or perhaps I should say "period" since some "years" could span 2-3 actual years, will require Bai to acquire a certain level of proficiency or reach different goals.
For example, in period one, you may need to ; break through to obsidian rank, explore 2 low level zones on the mountain, master at least 1 technique, and as a test , obtain a high level item called 'Horney Pearl'.
Once this is done you can then move on in the curriculum and be known as second years. If you fail to complete the necessary tasks then you will be given 6 additional months to do a challenge task that will allow you to progress, if you fail that then you are removed from the mountain for good (at higher periods).
The question of this poll is, which do you feel is better? A strict "this needs to happen by this day" system, or a system where you simply receive the requirements and you're free to tackle them as you wish, provided you are done with everything and able to take your exam by a certain day.

Thanks! I try my best. The past few months have been brutal, but I put the effort in so that I could take it a bit easier in the coming months and focus on content. I'm looking forward to things being a bit more enjoyable with 0.8. The only thing that stands in the way of my much needed rest is.... 0.7!! Ha. But I know what you mean. I'll take extra care to recover properly when this is said and done.
Just take the time you need and make sure you're always well-rested. Only start work when you're motivated to do so, not because you feel like you must do it. Otherwise, I'm afraid you may get burnt out early and lose your drive to create a great game. I read a lot of cultivation novels. In fact, it's pretty much all I do every day. This game is quite unique and I wish for it to be a great success. :)
