In the scene where Mae went to Ai after seeing her dad, I do see that as more of a "saying goodbye" than a "now I need to ramp up my scheming." I think she knows that shit's getting real now and their relationship might sour and come to an end. But she's also catching feelings. She's cherishing what might be the last genuine moment she can get with Ai 💔 My poor babies 😭😭
