Thoughts/Thanks and a Short Hiatus

With the completion of "The Gift", both Mouse and I are going to take a well deserved (or so I'm deeming it, given the amount of work that's gone into producing the last two issues) break for a bit. I will resume work on the comic in early January, which will be writing the next script. I want to involve my side characters, Nico and Jo, a little more in the coming issues next year, and I have been struggling creatively along that front, but I think I've come across something that will work, and just need to put fingers to keys.
For the hiatus, you can feel free to pause your contributions if you like. I wrestled with putting it on hold in settings, but I'm going to leave it up to your discretion on if you want to hold back a month or two, but please know that your support even during a month off is just going towards future pages being produced (and they ain't cheap!).
Finally, a deep, heartfelt thanks from me - getting to produce this comic is one of the biggest highlights of my life. The feeling of satisfaction of completing an issue and then having readers tell me that they had strong, emotional responses to them is beyond measure. I know that for a lot of creatives, being able to evoke said responses is like someone acknowledging not only your work but you as a person. It's cheesy to say but I honestly feel like my soul is seen and heard. Life is hard right now for everyone, but when I'm feeling down, I can go back and look at these works for a shot of happiness. I read through the wonderful comments so many have left me on Twitter and it brings me to tears every single time.
I never expected to be producing comics, but it has been so amazingly rewarding and fulfilling, even despite the huge amount of effort it takes to make in a time where I can sometimes barely find the motivation to shower or put on a shirt I haven't worn 3 days in a row. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for supporting me. It may look as though you're just donating cash, but what your contributions give me is far deeper and more meaningful than money.
See you all back in late January/February for the first page of "Different".

Thank you for sharing this wonderful world with us. It's been one of the toughest years in a long time, so many things going on. But rest assured the characters and stories you and the team have brought us have been an absolute highlight of the year. It just wouldn't have been the same without it. So again, thank you all for everything and enjoy the break. Like some of the others here, I won't be pausing my contributions just so I can keep supporting one of the best things to happen in the fandom. We'll be here when you get back. For now, have a wonderful season and a pleasant start to the new year.
