😝 I’d at least put two chairs in front of a blank wall or hang a black sheet behind me. I wouldn’t pretend to be at the beach right in the middle of my kitchen lol. That would be kinda amusing to watch though 😝

Doesn’t matter to me. I make jokes sometimes about the background being the same as another setting, but I usually fall asleep just listening anyways

I know one ASMR-tist that occasionally goes outside and even operates her vehicle while doing it. But the amount of time and editing it takes would be entirely up to you. Personally, I have no issues keeping everything indoors and to the imagination. I'll most likely fall asleep anyway so it's all the same for me lol.

Well, you're not wrong at all, I get what you mean, but I suppose I just submit to the (green screen) fantasy at some point, if that makes sense. It's a judgment call, but this whole operation is a fantasy, right? If we're supposed to be in a car, and it's CLEARLY just you sitting at your desk...I don't know, that just might be enough to make me reevaluate my life choices. Lol.

I have seen other asmrists use cloth sheets painted to look like doctors offices hanging on their walls.

You're a very talented, creative and original ASMRtist and having been a subscriber to your content on here and on YouTube for a while I know that what ever you create is always done with great thought and care. I think if done right green screen can look really good just be careful if the green screen is truly green don't wear green or hold up something green I learned this from watching the news.

You don’t find green screens distracting when the colors are changing and things are glitching? Personally I hate green screen vids and find them distracting

Yes, there’s definitely already an element of suspending disbelief in every ASMR video, I just wasn’t sure if this would be pushing it too far. It would open up lots of different scenarios though if I felt no one cared

I do kind of agree with the guy above who had the green screen suggestion. I guess I think that if the environment is clearly not the suggestion, it detracts from the immersion.

I’ve thought about it. I’m worried I wouldn’t be able to figure it out. I film everything myself and edit everything myself and I’m not positive if I could figure that out. Plus it seems like the cheaper options always seem really glitchy when I watch them in other people’s videos. I find the moving background annoying (personally) unless they’re really high quality I find them off putting
