Did chapter 8 die?

Epsilon Rose

That scene reminded me of The Tiles I Can Cut Are Next to None. If you haven't heard of it, it's a Touhou dojin that focuses on mahjong and ... let's just say their interpretation of the rules is somewhat variable. Seeing a bunch of cultivators approach the game with a similar mindset would be entertaining.

David Eddy

I would like to trade your anxiety over delivering a finished product to us for the occasional chapter you aren't sure about or that's out of order. Seems fair to me. We got a deal?

Carl Mason

Jin set a precedent in his sect: no getting married while you live in the dormitory. It is rude and disruptive toward your fellow disciples.

Blahful

Cassia is used to adulter cinnamon. It's called cinnamon just so that it can be used to fetch a higher price. Masses tend to buy cheaper not necessarily truer. The mis-identification was deliberate.

Moonspike

That's kinda semantics, sure Ceylon is considered "true cinnamon" and of higher quality, but cassia is used interchangeably with it and because it is cheaper is probably the only cinnamon most people have ever had.

Imspinnennetz

Chapter will be out tomorrow.

Noah

I wonder if the Azure Trading Company would be willing to help fun the road expansion. Good roads would no doubt be a boon for a trading company

Chinese cinnamon (cassia) is different, and misidentified. Cinnamon, does not have Chinese roots, no pun intended.

Nick

Thanks for the chapter

Arexio R.

ah i need more deets about the AJTC!

Will mILLER

Rice is truly wonderful

Moonspike

Cinnamomum cassia, sometimes referred to as cassia or Chinese cinnamon, is the most common and commercially-available type in the United States and East Asia. In Chinese, it is known as guì pí (桂皮) or sometimes ròu guì (肉桂). The cassia tree is native to China. However, it also exists in other East Asian countries.

“A trail run” - should be TRIAL

Blahful

Incorrect, cinnamon was native to the Indian subcontinent.

Guy L.

I was having a really crappy brain day, and then I read this. I can't express how much I love your work, and how much I really hope you'll be kind to yourself.

Undead Writer

Thanks for the chapter!

RedFaux

I wonder how expansive the maple tress forest is

Mad Max

Tigu seems very intent on developing her equivalent to Calvinball.

BargleNawdleZouss

Jin's next money-making idea for the AJTC: Cinnabon franchises, to be placed next to Chao Baozi locations wherever possible. 🤔😁

Casualfarmer

cinnamon has been mentioned a few times. Cinnamon is actually native to china, and most "chinese" things seem to be more common in the population despite other things existing, like potatoes and tomatoes. and yes, Xianghua brought them along.

Demian Buckle

Thank you for the Chapter.

BargleNawdleZouss

Great chapter! I like how Meiling insisted on a test run of her surgical technique. I am curious what she uses as a general anaesthetic. A couple of questions: (1) Was cinnamon previously mentioned as a known spice in the Empire? I kinda expected that to be a secondary search item for Chyou's expedition. (2) As Ri Zu had previously requested, did Xianghua bring plant samples from Misty Lake?

Rory

"Luxuriating", now theres a fancy word

Justin

Arrive in time for the maple syrup production. Glad to see Jin make progress on his sparing. As always great chapter.

Jerzylo

It is amazing how much my mood improved while reading this. Thank you for the wonderful chapter and story. I hope writing this makes you feel as good as reading it makes me.

Imspinnennetz

I thought from the 'more worthy of you' line, Guo Ren is going to build a new house that is worthy of Xianghua. If you remember, Jin wanted to wait till he had a house worthy of Meiling before asking for her hand.

Mrdelta

I'm kinda curious about Gou Rens plans. Before Xianghua he was content to live as a laborer on Jin's farm, but now he "has a family to support." I'm interested in his short and long term goals.

Catherine

The most important question: does Meiling like the cream cheese frosted cinnamon rolls?

Joe Silva

I think you might be getting a little too much into your own head over proper book format, I think this chapter had more emotion behind it than the last three combined.

StarBat

When they arrive. They're going to wish they brought more carts.

Matt DiMeo

Best gold rice in the empire, not just AH. Noice.

Robert Apgar

Wonderful as always!

Trent Cannon

You know normally I’d make fun of Xiulan for her noises, but if you don’t make orgasmic sounds at the taste of a good cinnamon roll are you really even alive?

Raymond Alderman

Damn that's a good chapter

David Bean

This was one of those chapters that really encapsulates everything that’s great about this story.

taukid

The was an awesome chapter! With the wait for sure!

Josiah Henderson

Great chapter!

Arthur Van der Poorten

This wholesomeness and the way you are able to convey it is a testimony to your skills as a writer. I like this chapter a lot and have been smiling since the very beginning :D

Andrew

Thank you!

Imspinnennetz

Or steal food when no one is paying attention.

Gary Hixenbaugh

Amazing chapter. Well worth the wait

Imspinnennetz

Why does CasualFarmer want to make me crave different food items late at night?

Allan V

I love how people are always surprised when Washy does something useful.

Summercat

Why ascend to the heavens when you can ascend the earth? One man cannot do it alone. But one man who can inspire and move others? Who can lay down an imprint of his ideals in the fabric of the land? He is not alone. He has a nation.
