Bob

All honey bees, all ants, and all worms are invasive species in North America. There are no native honey producing bees north of the Panama Canal. There is a honey producing bee in Central America that locals imported from Brazil/Chile a thousand years ago, but it's not native.

LizardMessiah

Honey bees are only one type of bee, and pretty much the only ones that make honey. There are only a few species and most are native to Europe and parts of Asia. There are nearly 20,000 other species of bee around the world that range and all sizes, colors, sociality. Not wasps.

Bobby B.

Wtf is a native bee? If it's a wasp, ima need a boot

Michael Maor

Worker bees would be fairly common, but the way it was written suggests the first bee they spotted was a queen bee, which is very odd. While as others noted it's not impossible to find a queen bee off on its own, I'd have expected them to spot dozens of worker bees before they found a queen bee.

Thanks for the link wiggster, I didn't know this and was confused

Philo

Chun ke is the smoothest wingman around

Sphinxes

A honeybee queen by herself? I don't know what they caught but that is not what they think it is.

Alex

Yes insects, my phone has betrayed my for the last time.... also i edited the comment did it not go throught?

Cory C.

Insects? Otherwise I think you are taking a hard left turn from where this story has been going.

Alex

Damn auto correct on my phone. Why i don't normally post with my phone...

wiggster

Yes but it is possible to find a virgin queen that has escaped the competition of its home nest "Some virgins have been seen to escape the hive to avoid being killed and seek out another without a queen" source: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen_bee

Darkarma

You may want to reread that. Otherwise your asking if the carnal fornication between family members can manifest as a spirit beast. In regards to your actual question, I imagine an insect can, provided it has Qi and intelligence. Given that it wasn't struggling it may already have.

Bob

There's a colossal fat bumblebee in my backyard. It's so aggressive, actively body-checking and chasing off other bugs and bees.

Ozark

With the european honey bee(the bee people keep in hives), you would find the queen in a big ball of worker bees with a queen hiding somewhere in the middle. You can see a picture in this article. https://cleveland.ces.ncsu.edu/2019/04/swarm-season-is-here/

Alex

Now the question that needs to bee answered. Can insects become spirit beast?

Kor

This fic is the bee's knees. 10/10, would patreon again.

Enkelados

I mean they are spirit beast they could probably spot a bee from a hundred meters and looked for a whole day

Matt

I never really thought I'd be shipping a Rooster and a Rat, but here we are.

Casualfarmer

In the spring, they should be common enough. Or I'm misremembering honeybees and native bees, because all the native bees come out of hibernation in the spring, and go and make new nests

Amit Gupta

Are queen bees truly that common in the wild or is this Earth subtly helping them?
