We have word of CF that Mei is the one who chunky-salsa'd the demon that got into the fortress, but maybe Noodle helped with his Twisted View? Hmm. Then again, MommaMei is likely terrifyingly fast on the offense, given the base-level terror she exudes normally lol I think the Noodle arc is that he sees that he's not alone in protecting what he loves, and he can trust the Fa Ram collective as guardians.

I like that drawing of Su Ge. It reminds me of TLM, the way his inner mindset is so different from his outer appearance. Maybe she'll come visit Lu Ri, possibly with her grandfather when he comes to check up on his old friend and help investigate the Imperial Realm demonic cultivator. With the demons being this blatant and strong I'd hope for Imperial investigations, with the CSS being those best positioned to carry them out.

This whole time I’ve been picturing Lu Ri like an older version of Jin from Samurai Champloo, so it’s almost jarring to see a text accurate depiction. But I do think the design suits him! And I can definitely see why Su Ge is excited for her (maybe) impending nuptials!

Jin has many traits that are not common amongst cultivators, one of these is that he shows his emotions readily. Many of them try (to differing levels of success) to not be so revealing of their emotions as they can give opponents openings. Hence Su Ge is close to the expectation (at least from my understanding of cultivation stories) All this is to say that the image could be his mildly annoyed face, whereas if Lu Ri frowns.... and god forbid he gets an angry eye twitch.

And since it's pretty apparent that Lu Ri as asexual, or at least barely interested, his harem will become a book club. Like the courtesans are his advisors on his mail system, to Shen Yu's annoyance.

Two regrets as the fight is over. 1. Bei Bei's debut showing of how his might is presented to the world was simply not there. 2. Noodle should have had a surprise" moment for all involved. as he has lost his everything to "demons" before, and now they threaten his all again. these would be like.. he crescendo of previous build ups. pushing him more forward from the almost underused character. (edit: maybe a flashback chapter, where the pool of blood form the intruder inside the fortress was actually Noodle going all Midgard serpent on his ass

Can't wait for the "reveal" between Lu Ri and Su Ge.... And from the last chapters, "I Think", they're something between Lu Ri and the Fox woman (sorry can't recall her name...), will this be the beginning of Lu Ri's Harem????
