It's not really litrpgs I have an issue with(because cultivation is just a mystical rpg when you get down to it), but the concept of "mana". People use it as a shorthand for western magic, when it's literally a recent videogame mechanic with nothing to do with any western mysticism, literature, or historical practices. It's lazy shorthand and used unimaginitively in the vast majority of cases.

Path of Dragons mixes that somewhat. You don't have classical cultivators with their attitude, but cultivation of the body, mind, soul and a core exists, same with natural treasures, harvesting beasts for parts to get cultivation materials etc. It's still a litrpg, although it either doesn't have HP/MP or they just didn't come up in the last two books.

East and West power systems huh. I’d actually turn it either a geological difference, where the major powers know the others exist, but contact is little. Or a disaster split a world into 2-4 realities, where the power systems developed depending on who was there, the animals, monsters etc. Then the worlds start colliding. Think Xenoblade 3 if you know. So a group of protagonists from each realm are forced to fight/work together. Language and culture differences, learning from each other’s power systems. No time travel though. I think it just makes things messy. Sorry had a bit of a schpeal.
