The beats of this episode kind of disappear in a poof due to the last 25 seconds or so but there is so much good stuff in there. It’s weird because I feel like they really spun their tires a lot in the writing the last couple seasons with characters not having much to do and then suddenly it seems we miss a lot of context in these episodes about character stuff that seems to have happened between episodes. Still though - lots of beauty. Claire dipping into an art show and seeing all her old friends while dressed in head to toe beige and on the arm of a republican could have been a whole episode. I don’t love Ted - but Claire has really never picked a decent dude in 5 seasons. Remember she started with foot boy and here we are. I feel you on the tears. Brings up stuff for me too and always has. The show shifts between nonsensical and too real constantly.

Oh god, I'm so sorry about your uncle. Of course this was traumatic for you. I'm glad you're continuing to watch, but I understand why your reaction would be to want to stop. There's a reason why this show aired week to week—processing time is necessary 💜

So much to say! First , I’m sorry to hear about your uncle. This show hits close to home on so many levels & it happens suddenly. All we can do is cherish the people & moments while we can. Honestly, one of your best reactions. This was one of the most darkly funny & beautiful episodes of the series. Seeing all the characters we’ve loved/hated/ & loved again from the past couple seasons living their lives , coming back together, getting closure , fighting again. I loved it. Especially Claire & all her old friends. That was wonderful. Same with Ruth , David, Keith + the kids!! Lastly, Nate. 😔😩…. I gotta say this one wrecked me back when I first saw this. It was actually spoiled for me , because I saw the clip on the comedy clip show The Soup (with Joel McHale )way back in 2005 . 🤦🏿♂️ I totally agree with your feelings of hating Nate & his decisions & how he was disregarding Brenda, but I did not ever want that to happen. Nate is one of my favorite characters in television. Flawed as hell & just trying to live.😮💨
