IGIWS: FIRST DRAFT: Ch.322 Rya Still Can’t See the Signs.

Quin never liked the idea of having someone else dress him other than Rya, but his father insisted he have a personal servant after all these years.
While at the same time Rya was in the main bedroom chamber with her adopted mother, Yuliana, Nieren, Elaine, and her Lady's Maid, Anna, who had a measuring tape wrapped around waist.
Rya looked like she was holding in her breath.
Elaine had a raised brow as she watched her Dark Elven sister acting weird. The teenage Half-Elf looked at Nieren who just shrugged at her. Yuliana was smirking at all her daughters reactions and she knew why Rya's waistline was getting bigger, but it was taboo to pry into such things until the elf in question reveals themselves to be pregnant for it was bad luck and it anger's the spirits, which is said to cause a miscarriage if someone were to speak it into existence before the mother knew she was pregnant. For when the spirits align with a elven mother they will reveal the blessing of their child with a shapely belly and Rya's belly wasn't fully showing yet, but the signs were there. So, Yuliana would try her best to hint that Rya was expecting and see if her daughter caught the hints.
And being such a good mother, that she was, Yuliana made sure to wake up at the crack of dawn so she could concoct a prenatal paste that her mother gave her when she was pregnant with Nieren. It tasted bitter to some and sweet to those carrying a child. It was a special blend of herbs, spices, and other ingredients she grew immediately inside her conservatory. She put it in the teapot and let it simmer all night so Rya could drink it. And Yuliana would try her best to make sure Rya drinks it everyday.
Nieren had no clue why Rya was getting her waistline measured but she didn't think anything of it and thought that if she was worried about a expanding waistline then she should stop eating so much. She figured Rya was ordering new clothes because she's getting bigger and thought nothing of it.
Miss Anna pulled the tape measure as tight as she could and gave Rya a unsure look. "37 inches, My Ladyship."
'37 INCHES!?! THAT'S FOUR INCHES OVER ONE NIGHT!'
Rya exhausted and the tape measure pulled even tighter, and readjusted in Anna's hands.
"39 inches, My Lady."
Rya was shocked and had no idea what was going on. She used to have a 28 inch waist two months ago but now she was up to 39 inches. She thought this had to be some kind of curse that stupid Princess, Hilda put on her. Even though Yuliana said that Deities couldn't make mortals fat or ugly.
'My stupid hunger is out of control! I know Mom said to listen to my body, but this is too much. What's wrong with me?! I have a craving for more food, and I have strange urges I can't control. It's like the more I eat, the hungrier I get. Am I dying? Is that it?'
Rya was so confused about what was happening to her. And the only people she trusted were in this room.
"W-What is my hips and breasts measurements?"
Anna was unsure but still did what her Lady asked. She took out another measuring tape and began her measurements.
"Your hips are 62 inches and your breasts are 52 inches, My Lady."
Rya's mouth dropped to the floor and her face flushed as a dark red tint began to form.
'I-I grown a few inches on my waist, and four on my hips. I have also grown a cup size. WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME?!'
Rya turned to her family and declared, "I don't care what you said, Mom! I'm going on a diet! This can't be healthy for anyone."
Elaine looked confused, while Nieren was holding back her laughter.
"Do you dare start laughing at me, Nier! You don't have a bottomless appetite like me."
"I-I'm not laughing."
"YES, YOU ARE!"
Nieren couldn't hold back anymore and let out a hearty laugh. "I-I'm sorry, R-Rya. But y-you're overreacting! You look gorgeous as always."
"But I gained four inches in my waistline in one night! Not to mention my hips and my chest have also grown. What's happening to me, Mom?!"
Yuliana had to fight the urge to tell her that she's probably pregnant, and she didn't want to tempt Elven Taboos. So, Yuliana lied to her daughter, "Well?... It could be any number of things, Ry. B-But I think your body is going through a phase that all Elven women go through when they—mature? Yes! Mature."
Rya looked unconvinced. "Really, Mom? Then why hasn't Nieren gone through this?"
Nieren shrugged. "Because I'm an adventurer, Sis—"
"Nieren! Now is not the time to needle your sister. Rya has gone through a lot lately, and she needs us to support her."
Nieren was caught off guard by her mother's scolding. She never expected Yuliana to snap at her like that. She thought Rya was being silly and was lacking some self control. Plus, Quinus seemed just as attracted to Rya, maybe even more so. That's way she was teasing her, but maybe her mom knew something that she didn't.
Rya had to think about her next words. "So, you're saying that my body is going through a phase and is going to do this for the next few years? Is that what you're telling me?"
"Yes, yes. That's exactly what I'm saying. And the reason why Nieren hasn't been affected is because she is a Wood Elf, and from what I know about Dark Elves, your kind tends to go through this maturing phase sooner than us Wood Elves. I-It's normal." Yuliana lied again, trying to sound convincing as possible.
Rya didn't understand why her mother was acting so nervous. She looked like she wanted to say something, but didn't know how. And now, Rya was beginning to believe her mother's lies.
'Dammit... This is one of the only times I miss my male body!... Why does chicks body's have to be so confusing?!' Rya thought to herself, 'When I was a guy I never had crazy cravings, or mood swings, or bloating. And I'm going to have to deal with these stupid ass period. Oh, god...?! I wonder when my first period would be?... Ugh, I don't want to be crampy! I thought I had five more years or something, before I had to deal with that crap!'
Rya was starting to panic, and she had so many questions. But her mother noticed and brought her the secret special tea she made. "Drink this."
Rya didn't think twice and took the warm cup of tea, and started to sip. She sighed and let the hot liquid warm her body, and she felt a calming sensation flow through her. She was feeling a lot better.
'God... Yuliana is the best mom in the world. Why can't all moms be like her?... I really don't deserve her, or Nieren, or Dalia... I lucked into having them as my new family.'
Rya's worries seemed to fade away as the prenatal paste tea did its magic, and she was soon back to her old self.
Rya took a deep breath, and exhaled. "So, is there any way for me to slow down my appetite? Because, I'm starving!"
Yuliana chuckled, "Rya... I know what I'm talking about. Listen to your body. It needs things right now and depriving yourself isn't going to make it easier on you. Eat, and drink, and sleep a lot. Trust me, Rya, I went through the same thing a hundred years ago. And if it gets too much, I'll give you a tonic to help ease the pains."
"Thank you, mom." Rya said with a big smile.
Rya finished her tea, and stretched causing her nightgown to tighten on her body. Yuliana had noticed and couldn't help herself. "You're growing up so fast. I'm worried about you. But I want you to know that no matter what you're my daughter. We will always be a family. I promise I'll take care of you and I'll protect you."
Rya was surprised by Yuliana's confession, but she felt so warm inside. She hadn't felt anything like this since she was a child back on Earth. Yuliana reminded Rya of her real mom and she couldn't have been happier to be adopted by this amazing elf.
Rya's heart swelled with happiness, "I love you, Mom."
Yuliana hurried over in a way that Rya thought her head was going to be submerged into Yuliana's large chest. The elven mother was hugging Rya tightly, and the young dark elf could feel the love in her new mom's embrace.
"I love you too, Rya. Don't ever forget that." Yuliana's soft voice whispered.
'Th-This... I needed this.'
Rya let herself be lost in the moment and hugged her mother back, closing her eyes and savoring the warmth and love that her mother gave her.
Yuliana finally pulled away and looked at Rya with the brightest smile she's seen, "Well, since you are maturing we should design some new dresses and clothes for you. I have a few ideas, but we'll discuss it over breakfast."
"O-Okay."
Rya blushed, not sure how she was going to respond.
"Good. Now, Miss Anna. Can you help my daughter get dressed please?"
Anna was startled by Yuliana's request and quickly nodded. "Of course, milady."
Yuliana then turned her attention to Elise and spoke quietly.
"Miss Elise, could you go to the market and purchase some more ingredients? There's a few herbs I'd like to have and I believe the market has it."
"Of course, Milady. I'll head out immediately."
"Excellent."
With a curtsy, Elise excused herself from the room and left.
Anna pulled out a black Victorian-style dress with a red and black lace trim and a pair of black leather boots.
The dress had a sweetheart neckline with a small collar and the waist was accented by a corset with red laces. The skirt of the dress had a slit that would expose her right leg if she was to move.
The sleeves were long, but they didn't restrict her movements. Instead, they were loose and allowed for easy movement. The skirt was made of a soft fabric and it flowed nicely.
Anna handed the outfit to Rya, who took it and looked it over.
"This looks great! Thank you."
Anna nodded, then helped Rya get dressed. As usual, Rya loved the feeling of the fabric on her skin. She could feel every inch of the dress against her skin, and it made her shiver in delight. When her corset was getting tightened, she felt her breasts being squeezed and she was getting excited as her cleavage became more prominent.
'God... Every time I wear one of these dresses I end up getting horny...'

"I'll let you decide, Anna..."

'I'm not sure how much longer I can stand it,' Rya thought.
She watched as Anna came back and began brushing her hair. The brush felt nice, but her excitement was building and her clit was starting to throb as Anna pulled her platinum white hair up into a high ponytail and added a few braids.
Anna then pulled out a black rose, a symbol of the house, and added it to her hairstyle.
"I think that should do it. How does it look?" Anna asked.
Rya's azure eyes took in her reflection and she smiled. Even though her waist had expanding outwards and she was becoming more curvy, her hips, and ass looked great. While her breasts looked like they wanted to escape the confines of her corset. She had always thought she was gorgeous, but the changes that were happening to her body were making her even more alluring.
"I look stunning," Rya replied as she wished Quin was in the room to see her.
Anna giggled, "Of course you do."
She turned around and grabbed a bottle of perfume.
"Here, let me help you with this."
She sprayed the perfume on Rya's wrists and neck, then rubbed it into her skin. The smell was sweet and fragrant, and Rya loved it.
"There, now you're all set... Oh! And if I may ask a favor?" Anna asked.
"What is it?" Rya questioned.
"Could I grab some more of those tampons?"
"Huh? You're still on your period?"
"It's for a some other maids... It seems that the other maids are interested in the new products," Anna stated.
"Well, sure. No problem. But it's free only for the first time."
Rya turned around and grabbed a few tampons from her dresser and handed them to Anna.
"Thank you. I'll go and deliver these to some future costumers," Anna said and left the room.
Rya nodded and looked back in the mirror, admiring her reflection. She tried to a few different poses before deciding that her hair and makeup were perfect. Elaine, Nieren, and Yuliana moved in closer and admired her beauty.
'Fuck... I feel like a Queen. But I need to not get lost in my own fantasy. Or I'll get arrogant. I'm not a Queen. Not yet anyway. Although, I'm a step closer to becoming a queen with this new title. But I need to be careful. The others are still not used to a Dark Elf. Some may even hate me for being a Dark Elf, even if I did save them. I'll change their minds sooner or later. It will be nice to have a family.'
Rya smiled, feeling confident, powerful, and sexy. She looked forward to getting to work today and learning everything that she needed to know about the Ladies of the Court.
"You look amazing," Elaine complimented. She still couldn't believe that she was adopted by a royal Wood Elf and was now living in the palace. It was making her head spin, but in a good way.
"I hope the Crown Prince is ready," Rya purred while she adjusted her breasts in her corset, causing them to spill out a bit more.
"Haah... A part of me wishes my chest could be as big as yours, Sis. But then I don't think I can handle a bow if I had such big breasts. My back would probably hurt all the time," Nieren commented, admiring Rya's big tits.
Yuliana chuckled, "They don't hurt are backs, Nier. We elves don't really suffer from back pains. At least not that I've noticed. Besides, your breasts will get bigger if you—"
Yuliana stopped herself as she didn't want to signal to the spirits that she knows that Rya is Pregnant.
"Ahem, I mean... If you eat a lot," Yuliana said, recovering.
Rya and the others laughed at her response.
"That's not how that works, Mother. Plus, you are trying to trick me so I can't fight anymore," Nieren said.
Yuliana sighed in relief and was thankful that Nieren and the others didn't question her sudden stop.
"Well, you can't blame a mother for trying," Yuliana teased.
Nieren laughed, "I knew it! I may know how to use the Green Word, mother. But that's not going to stop me from protecting Sister Rya. I'm sure the spirits wouldn't mind if I'm still able to protect Rya."
"The spirits will always support us," Yuliana reminded her daughter as she walked up behind Rya and rubbed her belly.
"H-Hey!?! Mom!! What are you doing??" Rya asked.
"I'm just making sure you don't have this thing to tight. It's not safe," Yuliana said innocently.
"Oh... Uh... Alright. Thanks, mom," Rya said, confused.
"Of course, dear," Yuliana said as she continued to rub her belly.
'It's okay little one. Grandma Yuliana will make sure your mother is healthy until she knows she is carrying you,' Yuliana said with her green word.
She had to hide her joy when she felt a pulse from her grandchild.
Rya didn't feel a pulse but she did feel a fluttering sensation coming from her pelvis.
"Mom, stop. I need to get ready," Rya said, annoyed.
Yuliana frowned, "Ok... Ok..."
Yuliana was a little disappointed but she knew it was going to take time for her daughter noticed that she was carrying Quinus' child.
It was at that point when a knocking came from the door.
Rya turned and saw Miss Gretchen with a worried look on her face.
"Is something wrong, Miss Gretchen?" Rya asked, concerned.
"It's the Queen. She needs your healing magic, Milady," Gretchen said, worried.
"What? Why? What's going on? Is she sick?" Rya asked, concerned.
"We don't know. The Royal Doctor saids she's in perfect health, but she keeps getting nauseous and she thinks it's early menopause. Can you come and take a look at her? Please?" Gretchen pleaded.
Rya thought for a moment. She wasn't sure if her powers could help with that, but she knew she needed to try. Rianna was her future mother-in-law and she couldn't leave her hanging.
"Okay, I'll come. Elaine, Nieren. Can you tell Quinus that I will be busy healing his mother?" Rya asked.
Elaine and Nieren nodded.
"Thank you," Rya smiled.
"Don't worry, Sis. We'll bring the Prince to you once he's done getting dressed," Nieren said.
"Thanks, Nier," Rya said gratefully.
"I'm coming with you," Yuliana said determinedly.
"No, mom. You don't need to trouble yourself. I can do this," Rya insisted.
"I might know how to make a herbal tea that will help. It was an old recipe that was passed down through my family," Yuliana explained.
"Okay, then. If you're sure, you can come along," Rya conceded.
Yuliana smiled, and they followed Miss Gretchen and Rya into the main hall as they made their way towards the Royal Wing.

I can see where you are coming from. I like a lot of slice-of-life details and I have a big cast which definitely makes things seem slower. I have to think about it and let your comment stew a bit. You could be right, but I need to make sure I don't lose my voice in this story. Thx for the comment.

I think pacing of story became too slow. It takes like 5 chapters to get some noticeable movement in the main storyline
