I love Soleil so much. I can only imagine the things he must have seen and done. Things that he regrets deep in his soul. Despite it all, he's stayed so gentle, loving, and kind. But, trauma of that degree never really leaves you. Kind of like getting stabbed with a Morgul blade, like in Lord of the Rings. You might survive it, but the pain never completely goes away.

That's such a haunting idea. So many years of memories and experiences, but even still the battle plagues his mind. He's always so soft and calm, it's hard to remember that he was once young and brash, that he's seen and done things he might not be proud of. It's a beautiful bit of character building. It hurts my soul.
