Lucy, not really. Since she can see Aquarius literally whenever she wants. She can just go to the celestial spirit world with the clothes as stated by Virgo. And the king gave her multiple free invitations to do as such.

Are you forgetting that she hasn't fought as long as they have. They've had since childhood while Lucy left her family mansion by the age of 16, that's around 6 to 7 years of battle experience over her And don't forget that it's not usually the case where the summoner is on the front lines like she is. Look back at her fights are you'll see how much she's developed, and how much she contributed to figure stuff out and progressing the story.

Yo I’m not gonna lie I simply don’t like Lucy like that. She has the cringiest comedy, some of her celestial spirits are just trash and let’s be real here, she’s the least useful when compared to gajeel, Erza, natsu and gray. Plus all her fights are mid so hyping her up trully doesn’t make sense

They talked over the “I can’t bring myself to kill you dad!” lol but it don’t matter. At least they see how peak gray is this arc. This really is his arc even though most of the main squad also get moments like Wendy and Lucy. I think what’s great about this arc is the potential implications it brings. Grey becoming a demon slayer and vowing to kill End becomes a lot more interesting by the end of the arc
