The whole point of this one is that it uses Godzilla as a catastrophic backdrop to critique Japanese beauracracy. Minus One is similar in that the entire focus isn't on the monster but its used as a backdrop to look at human relationships and post-WW2 Japanese shame, you'd probably like it more because its closer to a conventional narrative
