Not my fav, but its the best due to the sheer amount of legendary content Ive consumed from the series. Nothing tops it in terms of manga, anime , movies and even now the live action compared to other anime live actions.

That is a hot take. But I will say I really do fuck with the Fisher tiger flash back and think it’s a massively underrated flashback. On the top of the list for things I’m most interested to see how they will handle in the remake.

The story is pretty damn good for it. Fisher Tiger, Otohime, the power of Poseidon, and the dark side of Fishman Island's history producing terrorism. The anime definitely had its production problems, but it wasn't that bad watching it with RTTV. The themes were hitting and it had some of their better commentary.

For me OG One Piece will always be better than any remake because you can actually see 20 years of evolution in animation through their adventures, which is one the show's biggest strength, it's how it is always evolving in every way shape or form
