This is my opinion, so don’t eat me in the comments—but the two biggest reasons Solo Leveling feels kind of mid are its shallow character development and overly predictable plot. You know what? I honestly DONT GIVE A FUCK. It gave me great art, hype moments, cool villains, crazy animation, decent lore, and a sense of escapism from a very conflicted world. Originally, I wasn’t going to compare it to anything …. Oh WHAT THE HELL it’s freedom of speech so—this second season is better than the ENTIRETY of the first Fairy Tail series, and I enjoyed it more than the first 300 episodes of One Piece (OP fanatics, my opinion alone, so please kindly stfu).
