First, I will say I like Pat’s anger towards the dangers of the shadow realm. But not only had Mai already seen whatever tf was going on, on top of that blimp between Joey and Odion, but Yami Yugi warned her about ending the duel. Hubris or not, Mai chose to continue the duel regardless. Admirable, but foolish against a psychopath whose deck is built around torture. Yami Marik ain’t the one to play with.

Also, Yugi is technically the reincarnation of yami, which is why they look exactly alike. Yami Marik is just the evil side of Marik that manifested from his upbringing, not an ancient spirit whatsoever. Also, I need Pat to make an Amazon deck now Lol. Mai didn’t misplay. Elegant egoist doesn’t allow her to attack on the turn her harpies multiple per the anime. And if she didn’t defeat Marik that turn his holding arms can still use its effect and/or attack because it’s less than 4 stars and her trap wouldn’t work. S.b: always loved gravity bond’s design because it mirrored Ra’s sphere mode

That's more of a case in the English Dub, I think in the Japanese version he does acknowledge it, he simply doesn't care for it.

I'm not sure the RTTV guys realize that Kaiba doesn't believe in the Shadow Realm, the Millennium Items, or anything to do with ancient Egypt. So it's not just him avoiding responsibility for people's safety to protect himself from a lawsuit—or him being selfish, though both are true. He genuinely doesn't think the danger is as grave as it really is.

No Rob, they are not the same thing. Imagine mid game your opponent teleports you to some other dimension and says if you lose your mind will be trapped here, ties you up so you can't play your turn, and starts wiping your memory. Unlike Marik, Yugi isn't negatively affecting his opponent or hindering their ability to play the game.
