Tina didn't do it in under three minutes, Syd came in and took over her station because Tina was busy helping Marcus. The 2:39 on the clock was to show just how damn good Syd has become, because remember, Carm said he couldn't do it in under 3 minutes himself (probably not true, he was just trying to give Tina a confidence boost).

There's no official word on whether this is the last season or not, but the head of FX said that the decision is entirely up to the show's creator Chris Storer - if he wants to do another season, they'll give it to him.
