Yo... Been watching Zexal (and GX) lately and I gotta say.... I might have just been too old for Zexal, but it's ACTUALLY clean af. I mean, it literally introduces THE BEST cards I've ever seen or used (shouts to MD). I thought Galaxy-Eyes was cool... but then there's Utopia, the one-turn monster, and not to mention all the other "Number" XYZs... Hell there's even a card that has 100000 attack points...I repeat, 100,000. For some reason I thought GX introduced a new summon, but sadly, it only introduced the "new" Meta of multiple special summons and decks with real synergy. 5ds introduced Synchros, which can be super powerful and SUPER easy to Summon, but are typically deck based and only a few of them are Universal (look up Baronne De Fleur, hate Me later 😆) Xyz summons are a step up from Synchros, as they are much more compatible with multiple deck structures. They focus much more on their abilities (which are some of the BEST effects in all of Yu-gi-oh) and can lead to some crazy combos and possibilities. Zexal looks corny until you see the endgame where every card puts the God Cards to shame. I believe VRains added Link summons, and not to mention, possibly the most Broken card in the history of the game... (You know the one MD heads... THE one...) I won't mention it, you'll just have to find that one out for yourselves 🤣 Masterduel taught me everything after GX. It took a little reading to understand at first, but all the newer summon types (except Pendulum... That shit is PURE Algebra and that's no joke.) are fairly simple to build around once you get the "verbiage" down (aka understand how to play them)

In the subbed version of the show, the losers of the 2-on-2 duel would fall to their deaths instead of falling into the shadow realm. If I'm not mistaken, the shadow realm was made explicitly for the 4kids dub version of the show because they didn't want to show excessive violence
