Last Day — Not Sure What to Do?
🕑 Added 2025-08-13 14:08:14 +0000 UTCMy flight leaves Brunei around 3:30 PM, which means I need to be on the way to the airport right after checking out at 12 PM. So, in the morning, I planned a relaxed activity close to the hotel — jogging!
Around 7 AM, I got ready to jog. Honestly, whenever I travel, I always pack workout clothes, whether I end up using them or not hahaha.

The jogging route was still around the first mosque I visited! There’s a jogging track in that area.

I returned to the hotel around 8:30 AM and still had time to enjoy breakfast there.
Back at the hotel, I quickly tidied up and got ready to check out and head to the airport.

I arrived at the airport around 12:30 PM, with about three hours until my flight. So I just hung out here. This is the cleanest, quietest, and emptiest international airport I’ve ever been to — which is actually pretty nice hahaha.
There are plenty of seats here, with a variety of styles to choose from.

There’s a prayer room! It’s huge and so cool inside — super refreshing!! 😂

There’s a café and other facilities. Of course, there’s Wi-Fi. There’s also a water station near the toilets, which is handy since bottled water can cost up to 1.88 USD (600 ml) here.

Around 2:45 PM, it was time to board. This time, I flew with Royal Brunei to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. The adventure continues! My experience on Royal Brunei was really fun — the plane had TV entertainment, and they even offered flavored drinks (though I didn’t take one).
The ticket cost me about (101 USD), which included up to 30kg of baggage, and the flight only took 25 minutes — whereas by land it would take 5-6 hours, hahaha.

Don’t forget to say a prayer first, guys!
That wraps up my journey over a few days in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. If you ask me whether I’d come back, my answer is a definite YES! The only challenge here is transportation, so it’s best to have a local friend or rent a car with an international driver’s license. I guarantee you’ll love it — especially since fuel is super cheap too!
So, see you in the next blog! You can read the continuation titled "Suddenly Sabah"
See you there!!
