Oblique Flask!

Screw-closures are about as secure as it gets for a 3D-printed container, and since I've been experimenting with such things lately, it got me thinking about screw-top containers. Specifically, tubes! Tubes are great - so practical! But, I wanted to explore something with a bit more character.
I started with an old style oil can in mind - that classic rounded-corner rectangular style. I liked that idea of having a screw closure at one end of a wider container. I already had my heart set on an inset cap, though, not one that sits on top like you'd usually expect on an oil can.
The oblique slope arrive pretty early in experimentation, but not everything was so quickly in place. An early version had the two flat sides of the flask converge rather than be parallel, which was pretty cool until you tried to sit them next to each other. I ditched that idea and reworked the flask so that the sides lined up once again.
And the texture on the front? Really just to make it even more tactile. Because that's the thing, much as this is a functional design it also carries texture and shape that make it interesting to handle, and that's half the reason for making this model in the first place :)
There are two models for the body included - standard and tall. I can't decide if I like one better than the other, visually...
Printing Tips!
I had some great feedback recently that it would be great to have some specific tips on how to approach printing each model, so here goes!
Okay, this one really doesn't have anything tricky about it! The lid prints with the handle upwards, and the flask prints with its base on the ground. No supports needed on either.

It's funny looking back on an early version that tapered a bit towards the "front". I stood back and thought "those aren't going to stack side by side..." and redesigned :P
