Some people have machines that are capable of recycling used filament. Others may want a scrap bin, but not a full-size garbage can. Since the scrap bin is (likely) going to be on a desk, it might as well look awesome!

curious about this " This is what I use for all those bits of loose filament, fragments of failed prints, skirts and other various bits that are the inevitable byproducts of printer use" Why would I want/need to keep scraps and memories of failed projects? What am I missing...

Just finished this on the Raise3D N1 with a 0.8mm nozzle. It came out SO nice! I love it. It took about 3 hours at 25mm/s. I will post on my Potent3d Instagram later this week, and of course tag you! I would love this to be perhaps 77x100 and 100tall or so. I am hesitant to scale it because i dont know if that will effect the zigzag structure and ruin the print or make it harder to print. thoughts?

I printed one at 150% in an off white filament. Afterwards I realized just how great this would do if used for a lamp shade (for a low wattage/"colder" light), or just putting a light inside for a desk lamp. I am tempted to print another and stick a small row of LEDs onto a pole and turn this upside down over the LEDs. I may try that this weekend :)

seems like Simplify3D is having the same issue with this one that it had with an earlier model. It tries to print a solid top (in vase mode). I had to force 0 top layers again as a workaround. I forget what was found and fixed with the earlier model (as rereleased), but it may be the culprit again

I made it at 275%. It's huge lol. But looks good. I used marble filament. I posted on IG I don't use discord.

Wow, how strangely perfect. I was printing small drawer organizers earlier (for ikea alex drawers) and this not only is much easier to resize to random sizes, its also faster to print and uses less material! Thanks so much!
