3D Pokémon was good in gen 6 with ORAS/XY but holy shit idk how they moved to the switch and got worse. I never even thought about that but phin is right 2.5D hd Pokémon like octopath would be AMAZING concept wise. Pokémon started and grew on spirite models that are pretty amazing and would fit so well in that format

I'd say in the past watching anime was definitely no girlfriend territory but recently I feel like anime is taking off maybe because it's on Netflix/crunchy roll so if you watch anime now you're chances of having a girlfriend are the same as non-anime watchers

I get nicks point. you could say it was partly true. But anime (mainly shounen) has always been about relating to an "average young boy". Probably why I dont really watch it anymore as I got older. Had nothing to do with being down trodden. shruge. Also ive noticed the majority of older adults getting into anime are usually couples watching together.

I did that with bleach, every fight and meaningless dialouge scene I’d just keep skipping 10, especially the fight scenes bleach fights have some epic moments but 90% of it is just slightly zooming in manga panel of someone charging at a target yelling then flash cut to the same thing but the other guy

Soda needs to look up what episodes to skip with naruto cause the "big 3" animes are known for having loads of filler bloat, you can probably skip around 150 episodes for the main story

When I was a kid I felt the same way about the subtitle thing, but then I studied Japanese for a number of years and because I then understood the language a lot more it became cringe again. Anime still has a special place in my heart and I enjoy that people love it and can enjoy it.

I used to watch a lot more anime before I got a girlfriend, but now with my gf of 5 years it’s a lot less because I’ve grown out of it. Mostly because I grew out of it. We watch one piece together.
