Yeah, sometimes I truly wonder, why the translators don't simply use the English meaning. It's like with Baron Tamago, who turns into Viscount Hiyoko and Count Niwatori. I guess it sounds better, or more distinguished in Japanese, but his titles fully translate to Baron Egg -> Viscount Chicklet -> Count Rooster. A fun detail that gets lost to the regular non-Japanese speaker.

Btw. "hiko" in Japanese is a name suffix that means "boy". That's why Luffy was so amused. They basically called Cesar "Gas boy".
