Well, now Ali can take any dead human and "resurrect" them as a minion, while it might not be well received by some people, other would jump on the occasion And that would be quite usefully if the diceased had a useful class, imagine an administrator for her town, martial trainer, crafter... And she can always not summon them again if necessary

You know ... That'd be an interesting scene, some of them trying to join the guild.

I'm curious about all the lower level members of the Town Watch who weren't arrested. Suddenly there's gonna be a lot of unemployed thugs who also probably aren't wholly evil. Will they find alternative employment or turn to undeniable crime? If they don't get hired anywhere, they may not have a choice

Critical Meyhem

Thank you.

Isn't he also part of the shadow Council though? If so I'm sure he will reach out for help. Then things would surely escalate.

---- At least Vivian had the advantage of having been debriefed by Calen and Aliandra ---- It would be "briefed", not "debriefed". It would be Calen and Ali being debriefed.

I'm kind of wondering what jax can actually do. Mori was his trump card and when they talked after tala he dosnt have the resources to make any major attacks. Plus while we don't know much about it, his class is probably some kind of corrupt merchant and I can't see how he could be a threat with that.

To be fair, this is more historical accurate than you might think. Before the modern democracys, most forms of government were heavily skewed to those already in power. It's not fair, but fair was never really the point of those governments. Instead it was to simply remain in power while parading said power over everyone else. I can't imagine a governmental structure that had to adapt to have poeple with rediculous individual power would be much different

I don't really get why they're trying to find proof about Jax' crimes or act like he's immune without said proof. The whole town structure seems to be based not on law, but on a balance between strongest people, who are mostly on the council. Even here, there was nothing about laws during this council (edit: except for killing dungeons), just an arbitrary vote. Also wasn't Mori's whole argument that the kingdom wouldn't try to enforce law in Myrin's Keep, because their strongest enforcers got killed there? From what we've seen, just quietly assassinating Jax at any time would slide and be acceptable, so long as it wasn't shoved into people faces.

Scott McCarthy

Non disclosure of auctions should not cover stolen items, or ones the government would consider restricted/controlled. The gnomes are playing a risky game there. That said, Jax is so foolish in this meeting, he must really need his enforcers, otherwise the play is to accept the loss and move on. The head of an organization being a killer is going to open up all kinds of questions that need to be investigated and all he is doing is making it more apparent he was connected to that corruption in some way. He is about to do something dumb out of desperation isn't he?

Chegs

Loved this…I pictured Seth walking in the counsel looking all dapper..Aiden is really growing into his roll..Now to see what Jax has up his sleeves..see ya never town watch!
