A couple of small quibbles: I think the Frosted Sapphire Drop is the only remaining level 80ish ice magic item (the new staff is two handed, so it replaces both the wand and the orb, so item spell haste is only 75%—not 90%), bringing the non-arcane haste to 425% rather than 440%. Arcane haste, though, gets a 25% bonus from her first evolution in addition to the 415% from Arcane Recall, for a total of 865% rather than 855%.

It was kinda mentioned... The Wood Elf city only granted Ali two vials of water, and it's all they took from the Sun Elf Well. Not to mention our Gnome Alchemist managed to destroy the first vial.

Maker is one of the better ones in the short term, but I think it's the worst option in the long term. I don't think the scope is getting any smaller, and Ali's never really been content to just hunker down in her dungeon, which is what Maker is focused on.

So, I think she actually has to take Maker here. She already took a path that has huge synergy with dungeon traps and one of her current goals is to secure the safety of Lirasia, while defense of her domain has always been her weakness compared to her minions (where she has the seemingly unique ability to steal and create pretty much any being she can think of) and her dungeon combat which even Azyret praised her for (huge praise for a dragon who's been in dungeon combat for thousands? of years). Plus I'm kind of hopeful that future nodes will give her even greater synergy with her Runesage path than it already has. For later paths (I'm kind of assuming 1 more after the dungeon one) I'm very hopeful for one that gives her bonuses somehow to her town-supporting efforts - maybe something like a Citizen designation that gives bonuses to non-dungeon beings living on her land, rather than binding them to it like Denizen. After all, one of her big accomplishments has always been the restoration of Dal'mohra and its library, plus everything to do with Myrin's Keep. Another cool thing would be an evolution based around Minion Ego, but that's mostly because Tol'Brekk is hilarious and I'd love to see him get even more personality.

Mobius

Ok, I'm home from work and now have the time to actually quantify all the stuff, because I think it's interesting and I'm damn excited about this. For starters, the evolution so far features +350% spell haste, +150% knowledge spell power, and +150% perception skill power. Her other equipment (speaking of which, 2 items are still at 80 or lower, and specialized toward ice, of all things) gives a sum total of 90% additional spell haste. Arcane recall is, as of its latest update, at 83, which gives +415% spell haste to arcane skills. What this works out to for mana quickening is a 49% reduction in recharge for non-arcane skills, and 64% reduction in recharge for arcane skills. I'm not sure if this applies to her new title, but it knocks arcane recall down to about 8.5 hours, which is substantial. With more investment, it may be theoretically possible to make it available twice in a fight, even. Additionally, empowered Summoner's enhancement can now be swapped after 21.5 minutes, minion teleport is down to 3.6 seconds for in range jumps, and for long range, it's 86 minutes. I'm not strictly certain how the Eye of the Lich works, but supposing these buffs also apply there, then her minions will be seeing a substantial improvement in the recharge department, even if they aren't using arcane skills. (All of this is assuming I have a correct understanding of how the math is working here, as well as the latest Aliandra status sheet, level up, and the stat pages for the eye of the lich and the arch dickhead's staff. I might be totally wrong.) As far as which skills benefit from those power boosts, arcane insight double dips, and that's the skill that disruption is on. Sage of learning also double dips. Grimoire and runic script, meanwhile have knowledge traits on them. I'm not sure how grimoire would benefit from this, but I'd guess that runic script's various uses would all see improvements. Martial insight is the only skill that only has perception. So yeah, already this evolution is a huge powerup, and we're only like half way through. I'll keep my napkin math-ass spreadsheet open in case anything else boops those numbers.

liorean

Am I the only one thinking Maker is an awesome choice here?

Mobius

Noting the brief mention of the crypt having a nigh impenetrable barrier, destroyer may be the only real option here. I don't see minions cracking something like that, and even disrupting it would likely be a challenge, but a specialized domain slapping path might enable her to put that her whole domain's force into a swing at it.

Rook

I don’t think she’ll ever get it now, the Runemage path is her equivalent. She even said it might be more flexible than Archmage.

Rook

Crunchy! Thanks. And, even more to go. Usually too much numbers go up stuff can be tiring, but the big upgrades like this where it’s all new stuff are some of the best bits. My bet is on Destroyer. It’s the only one about not hurting people, at least directly. Lyandra needs to get over her prejudices. Yes many dungeons are bad, but from what the story has shown those are likely sub-sapient or under the influence of the big bad. At this point if she has to consciously think not to judge Ali harshly before she’s even done anything… Surprised not to see a path related to the symbiotic relationship she’s formed with the town and guild. That seems just as influential as everything else she’s done. Maybe more so. Just over half the points left, and these are short, so one more path after this?

Kensyi

Breaker and Destroyer are the obvious most powerful for her against the Lich.

Tanj

Offense is the best defense, and she is not obliged to do it unless needed. Clearly imminently needed.

Mull16

I'm just hoping for an archmage path I feel like she deserves it.

zimmergage

I don't know but destroyer though powerful. Seemed to fit her the least. I don't see ali in the long run going off and destroying dungeons it seems to be a waste of time. Plus the destroyer though maybe more powerful seemed more limiting. She's also a bit of a homebody too.

sillymel

Honestly, I'm not sure Ali is gonna *have* much more in the way of opponents without a domain at this point. Also, Breaker's *actual* specialization is dungeon breaks, not minions. That doesn't really fit Ali's style.

sillymel

I think you miscalculated something with Authority cost for the Edict of Denial path. You have it costing a total of 75 for 169 Authority remaining, but I got a cost of 84 for 160 remaining. Or maybe it's just a typo? On another note, shouldn't Ali have at least *tried* making and using another Elixir of Ages so she could get rid of the cursed title before her class evolution?

Mobius

Destroyer and breaker both look fantastic. One enables minions and the other enables domain combat. I'm leaning toward minions myself. It's far more applicable. It doesn't require installing a gate, and it will be useful against opponents without a domain

Matthew

Considering how much Mr Lich relies on dungeons to do his dirty work, Destroyer seems like the obvious pick. Plus it would help against the demon dungeon too
