A trossfrau then, a landsknecht now. Knowing she will be an outlier among the landsknechte, she must be more showy than anyone else.

I know most people enjoy seeing a protagonist who after losing their loved ones, becomes forever haunted, walking down a path of vengeance. But in reality, that's an extremely unhealthy psychological state. It makes people increasingly obsessive and can easily lead to self-destruction.
Landsknecht-chan has a backstory of losing her beloved, which solidified her resolve to fight on the battlefield, face the same fate. However, her character was gradually nurtured by fratting with the landsknechte. There might still be a trace of sorrow behind her smile, but her smugness is genuine as well. And that's what shaped Landsknecht-chan.

Thank you for the lore. I am glad that she is happy in her occupation, and doing it for the right reasons. I love the depth of character which is created.

Gotta love a character with hidden depths and good coping mechanisms

I ordered my Landsknecht-chan plush when she was first announced, but now knowing her backstory, I'll have to treat her with more love and kindness. Loved learning it though.

compare to the previous gear. Landsknecht-chan got fully new set of her own armor and outfits, which means she's really badass and earn a lot.

Honestly, given somewhat fatalistic realities of mercenary work, I'd say the backstory fits really well! Loved the series!

Just, from where did she get the fitting breastplate π I know, it is not reaaally fitting, but did her lover have that kind of breastplate? I know it's just nitpicking, love the lore anyway
