From Kaiserslautern to Garmisch, about little over 5 hours, then the next morning i drove over the Alps to Churburg, another 2h 30m. The car was a 2009 BMW 528xi

LoLz, I have visited Churburg Castle in Italy (formerly southern Austria) and I was not Uber impressed by their collection but the frescos #AmazingBeauty. I was disappointed that their gift shop didn't sell a book with all the frescos or anything about the frescos. Also there is a tiny cafe at the bottom of the hill that leads up to the castle, their coffee food is delicious, well worth the drive from Germany.
