Progress Update V.1.0b
🕑 Added 2023-05-31 16:19:41 +0000 UTCHey, so my initial deadline was between 25-31.5. It’s the end of May, and it’s not done yet. There’s a little bit of everything, but mostly art. I still need to finish a couple of illustrations, fix some portraits and textures for models… Most of the dialog is done and in the game, but there is some more gameplay I want to add, and when I finish that, there is still testing… So, my best guess is 7-10 more days until the update. And that’s optimistic, considering the speed that I’m working at.
When I look back on the last couple of months, I should've done more, and this whole year, I am super slow compared with the work I did last year. The worst part is that I had more time and better work conditions, but it's just not there. Maybe it’s me, and I should consider that I’m in a burnout. I am thinking about pausing billing on the Pateron and taking some time off when I finish this update. If it is just burnout, some time off the game and development should help. That would mean that my plans about finishing the game by the end of the year are out of the window. But I think that is already not going to happen, with me taking time off or not.
But for now, I will focus on finishing this update, then I will see.

it is a great game. I have just started with Raven. She has gotten the film developed and has talked to Joe and gone home. Where I’ve gotten stuck. She had to get ‘film rolls’ before she could leave the Apt. again, but she’s stuck in the hallway outside her apt. please help!!

Sorry for the late reply, I can't tell you how much I appreciate this, and I agree entirely with you. But, I think pausing subscription will take some pressure off of me. Not that I feel that much pressure from you guys, I think it's just me... Anyway, I have enough saved money, mostly from freelance work, to get me through a couple of no-work months. Otherwise, I would do it (canceling the subscription). But it makes me happy that you understand my burnout and would support me, financially, during my time off. Thank you for your kind words, they really mean a lot to me.

I appreciate the thought of cancelling subscriptions while taking some time to rest - it's very consumer friendly of you and I do appreciate it - but you still need to eat, pay your rent, etc. while taking some time off. As long as you're communicating transparently (as you have been!) about delays, you should trust your supporters to decide if we want to "take a break" with you. The quality of this project's writing and art, the direction you're taking it - it's a diamond in a sea of lowest common denominator fapgames. Personally, as long as the "break" didn't extend into a year or more with little/no communication? I'd personally like the opportunity to continue to support you through the pretty reasonable subscription, even if you're "on a break" - I trust there are others who'd do the same, and folks who want to pause their support are free to do so on their own accord. Take care of yourself, friend. The last two years have been fucking outrageous - everyone is burnt out, it's perfectly reasonable to need to rest.

Cant to see whats waiting for us next, take your time since the foundation of the game is awesome and keeping it great takes time :D dont burn out yourself like holasoio said.

Can't rush greatness! If you're dealing with burnout then take some time to gather yourself. Just don't forget about us <3 you've got a great game on your hands!
