VR360 "Takeout" featuring Jennifer Rose

I wanted to pump something out before I leave for a couple of weeks, and this seemed like the most reasonable thing I'd be able to get done after moving into my new place with a limited amount of time. The good news is that I'm mostly settled in (or at least enough to be able to have an editing station) so when I get back, I'll be able to resume my normal workflow. I almost didn't release this clip because of all the visual problems (this was the first thing we ever tried on VR, so we didn't realize how bad the splitting would be inside the container, nor anticipate the light on the camera reflecting back so poorly). Still, it's hard not to release anything with Jennifer Rose, because I think she has a unique ability at portraying a more casual form of cruelty that feels...believable. With that being said, I will not be releasing the other VR clip we did to the public, because some of the files were corrupted and it wasn't fixable, however, I did render out part of what we had as a RAW unedited file to share with y'all later this month as a sort of b-side of what could have been. Anyways, now I'm rambling. I've emailed the clip to folks!

This is the life of Jennifer Rose's food. Experience what it would be like to become an idle snack for a bored giantess, over and over again. As always, Jennifer is an expert at exerting a casual form of cruelty. Although this clip is aware, she mostly pays you no mind as she goes about eating her food.
A note about the clip: I priced this one as low as I was allowed, in part, because this was the first VR clip we had ever tried, and the video quality suffers. The splitting is quite poor, and the light from the camera bleeds aggressively while inside her food container. To make up for this, I've added a fair amount of sound fx. I thought about not releasing this clip because of the aforementioned problems, however, I think her performance is so good that I didn't want to deprive everyone else of it for my own quality ego. The clip is in 60fps slow motion.

Thank you for the thoughtful feedback DotNet! It's funny you mentioned the inside of the mouth sounds, because I have been trying to think of some creative ways to to translate that sort of terror/chaos, but haven't been able to find anything that sounded too great (if you have any ideas, feel free to suggest!). Most things I was trying felt kinda ridiculous and unreal/cartoonish, so I wound up taking em out and going the simpler route. I went back and forth on whether or not I should even include extra mouth sounds or just fading the screen to black (because I know that those moments definitely aren't doing the gravity of the situation justice)...however, it felt too abrupt to have nothing there at the same time. I think what also happened with this clip is that I just simply ran out of time to re-edit and re-render the clip a few more times, so rather than waiting another month to release it, I figured the degree of difference probably wouldn't warrant the extra month's wait if that makes sense haha. In general, I'd like to really spend a few days just gathering new sound fx, because I think while the things I had were working when I began this project, I could certainly use new potentials (although it's tough finding good ones that are free to use, but not impossible!). Anyways, I really appreciate you taking the time to write this up. It definitely helps to get feedback, especially when some of my concerns are echoed or conversely, it is pointed out when I'm being a little too hard on myself. So thank you!

I've only had time to watch this outside of VR so far, but I kinda love what I see and hear! The extra sounds are great. I'm not crazy about booms (I think they're a bit over the top) but I know there is an audience that is always clamouring for them, so that's fine. Jen is great, I love casual situations like this. I really appreciated the editing, how Jen was finishing up the action on the previous POV when it switched to the next. Good continuity! The being eaten with a chip thing was a fun surprise. Like the extra detail of adding crunching sounds to those. Speaking of sounds, the only weak point for me was the sounds in mouth. Only a faint swallowing sound. I feel like, from a POV perspective, being rolled around in a mouth and swallowed should be the loudest craziest thing. And just doing a tiny gulp, is kinda like lighting a firework and having it just go "pfffrt" It was seriously such a better video than you lead it on to be though :) Thank you for releasing it!
