Development Updates and Partial Release Poll Outcome
🕑 Added 2023-04-07 08:12:11 +0000 UTCThe development of second half of Chapter 4 was delayed as we had to rework some of the LI content. We heard your feedback on Ch3 and some players are primarily interested in the LI content. Therefore we brought forward some Ch5 story lines forward and increased the scope for Ch4. The branching storylines have also increased significantly, and therefore it takes much more iterations for the game to be testable and playable. For that, we would like to thank MagSeb, Kire and Gbounias on DC for being so patient and helping us polish the game.
So far, we are on our way to complete the 4th LI story arc. Writer and artist schedule is cleared up so we do not anticipate any delays on their side. Although we still need to settle some licensing and copyright agreements with the artist. The game scope literally exploded in this chapter, we are also recruiting new writers and programmers to keep up the speed. Please be patient with us if we have been unresponsive.
As most of you have voted to wait for the full chapter, we will launch a partial release for the Vanir patreons who wants the early preview. If all else goes well, we aim to commence alpha test at the end of this month, and release the full chapter in May. Thank you all for your support and patience.

I'm okay with releasing the chapters like this although I have to avoid spoilers until May now.

We developed Ergi for the human story and we are sticking to that. We just have to find some middle ground to meet backers' demands.

that's an interesting development! It makes me slightly worried for the overall balance of the game though... bringing the LI content forward, does it mean that the later chapters will be a bit empty of LI content or that you increased the LI content overall? and will the story content be a bit sacrificed? (hope not) more in general, how does the overall vision of the game change? (in general, I'm happy of catering to those that are interested in the LI content because who wouldn't want more Jorgen&co, but not at the expense of the rest, as Ergi is way more than just that)
