The real reason they were sent up there if you want to know since the lady seems pissed that Chad, Orihime and Ganju are up there Bit spoilerish if you don’t want to know the true reason they were sent up there, it’s pretty nuanced and I don’t know if it will be explained or if you will understand it fully in context The reason more people aren't up there at the Soul Palace? Well, other than most of the other characters not being there when the first launch was initiated and time was of the essence... if you recall what Hiyori said to Kisuke back in Cour 2. Ichigo and co. were sent to buy time. They were not sent because Urahara actually thought they would win. They're sacrifices. Because when you get right down to it, Urahara is just as ruthless as Mayuri. Urahara was banking on Ichigo dying up there in battle and replacing the Soul King with his new corpse same with Ichibei that’s why he had that look on his face and said “that’s what peace is all about” but The Quincy King Yhwach foresaw that and spared Ichigo with non lethal attacks most of the time because he understood that terrible fate
