That's actually a minecraft vanilla bug. Sometimes when you through snowballs they go through blocks. You can watch this bug in vanilla when there are no particles showing up after it hit something (because the particles spawn in the block).
so I fixed the corrupted snowballs and ender pearls but now they sometimes go through blocks.

Optifabric bug. Use Iris Shader mod or Optifine on Forge. Optifine for Fabric is bugged.
why are my snowballs and ender pearls corrupted?

It is just as optimized as the versions before. Just not use Optifine and instead try the Iris Shader mod. Optifine slows down physics rendering by a lot.
