New Hope V0.4 (Public Release)
🕑 Added 2022-09-16 11:00:06 +0000 UTCIt's finally time! V0.4 is here with a bunch of new content for you to enjoy!
I have edited the original early access post, so if you want to avoid spoilers - do not look in the comments section!
Please be reminded that using old saves from previous versions WILL crash the game. You will need to start a new game and skip ahead to the new content (unless you fancy replaying with all the new music I've added in ;D )
This will be the last update for the game without a chapter jump menu. The coding is a little tricky, so I haven't had time to implement it this time around. However, it will be my main priority for V0.5.
Here's a list of all the new content you'll be able to find within V0.4:
- Continuation of the main story arc
- Expansion on the three routes for Ethan, Eyal and Theo
- Over 2000 images now coded into the game
- Music and SFX has been added
- Bug & Typo fixes addressed from V0.3
- Reduced CG file sizes. (I'm aiming to reduce them further to help with the game file size, however I'm looking for lossless options only as I don't want to bring down the image quality.)

Thanks for the kind words! <3 I'm glad you're enjoying all the routes that New Hope has to offer - do you have a favourite? ;) You can totally talk spoilers here, just preface the post with *Spoiler Alert* so people can choose whether to read or not! As for the music, I'm still working out the kinks :) It's very new to me, so there are likely some bugs dotted around. But I'll take a look at that cafeteria scene and see if I can amend that part :D Thanks again! -Blayke <3

Oh, dayum! Bravo! Thoroughly enjoyed playing through the update, took the Eyal path, just to see what got punched-up on it. Looking forward eagerly to see what the other paths reveal, and what the next update expands on... and suddenly realizing how difficult it is to leave an honest review without giving away spoilers. LOL! Well done! Between this and Aaryn's new update, I feel like my patience has been WELL rewarded! -MD Update: OK, now I've played through all three paths and am utterly thrilled with the addition to the stories. Can't wait to see how this "there is no spoon" angle plays out... that was unexpected. One bit I'd like to point out though is the soundtrack. It doesn't seem to be cutting off when it should - for instance, the cafeteria background noise continuing into the next scene. Otherwise what you've done here is brilliant, Blayke! I'm not being a critic - hell, I can't even get Daz 3D to render a doughnut that doesn't end up looking like it has testicles instead of sprinkles!

Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed :D Theo is definitely a misunderstood soul, so it's nice to see him coming into his own in his route! If you haven't already, I'd highly recommend giving the other routes a try

omg that was so good, very well done. i love the horror, the upcoming action and theos route 😌. i love your story ❤️, i can't wait for the next release, things have gotten so interesting.
