Ah, this is the good stuff. No magic powers, swirly screens, implants, or drugs. Just good old-fashioned psychology. Read both versions, I think I like this one a little better since Courtney doesn't grab hold of the distress ball quite so completely from the moment she wakes up. Feels more realistic, although I'm probably biased because I tend to enjoy the conflict of these types of stories more than the conclusion.

Thanks! I wrote this one first, actually, but wanted to do the second version too. I used some of the same lines, but this one is definitely a lot more intimate, with her being in her undies for most of it ;p. Do you want more of that in my stories?

I think I like this version more, but both are fantastic. Stargirl's defeat and breakdown are very convincing, but there's a more personal side to this version.
