Its because you are using higher resolution of texture pack which is not compatible with the amount of RAM you got... Download and load. 128x/256x - 8GB RAM 512x - 16GB RAM 1024x - 24+GB RAM

Is it showing "not compatible with the current version of Minecraft"? If so it's not an issue, just load the texture pack it will work.

Use any shaders to look water realistic... It's highly recommended to use the SEUS PTGI shader
