What? No, not EVIL guidance. I'm saying it's totally gnarly, dude, for sure.

Criticize Bishop all you want, but dancing while balancing a book on your head would certainly help someone stand out.
Cooking!
Me when writing this: "What else might Sarah think to suggest? Cooking? Wait, that might actually make sense. Who doesn't want a partner who can cook?"
Another part of my brain: "YOU FOOL! COOKING IS FOR THE HELP! And how would she show it off if the plan is to attend social gatherings?! Part of the entire goal for Bishop is so her daughters don't HAVE to cook for themselves! Think about it for more than two seconds, why don't you!"
Previous me: "But you're me. That's exactly what's happening right now. You're me thinking about it."
That other part of me: "Oh. Right."
Previous me: "Guess you didn't think about that for more than two seconds, huh?"
That other part of me: "Shut up!"

Entirely fair and valid.

How about balancing cooked food on your head? Like Carmen Miranda with extra steps.

I mean, I've been sassed by the characters I'm writing before. (My usual line about my ancestry is 'I'm part English, part Irish, part Scottish, and part German; I argue with myself a lot.' No part of that statement is untrue.)

Ashley proceeds to go offpanel and do the Hustle with a book on her head.

Your internal dialogue has sass.
