Hey there, fellow TF lovers!
I hope you’re all having a fantastic day! Today, we’re excited to welcome you to the second part of our behind-the-scenes series: the Art Department! We considered what would interest an average transformation lover and concluded that nothing could be more suitable than the character customization itself!
When we set out to design our character customization system, we wanted it to be more than just sliders and colour palettes. Our vision was to create a feature that allows players to express themselves uniquely within the game world. We believe that every player should find something they love in the game—a true reflection of their desires—with the ability to undergo dynamic transformations that enhance both gameplay and storytelling.
To kick things off, we immersed ourselves in a variety of sources for inspiration. We studied games known for their customization, as well as fashion and cultural trends, to develop something special. Of course, the first update can’t include everything we or the players wish to see, but we did our best to choose features that will satisfy the community! Once we had a solid foundation of ideas, it was time to outline the character customization system. Here are some key features we focused on:
Visual Diversity: We aimed for a wide range of body types, facial features, and hairstyles that reflect different cultures and identities.
Outfit Layers: We implemented a layering system for outfits, allowing players to mix and match different clothing items. This not only enhances creativity but also enables players to adapt their looks for various gameplay scenarios, including romance and sex scenes! This was the most challenging aspect to create for Pinkaesar!
One of the most exciting features we developed is the transformation system. We wanted players to feel like their characters could evolve and change throughout the game. Here’s how we approached it:
Narrative-Driven Transformations: Transformations that have a story behind them. For example, players can unlock forms based on their choices or accomplishments in the game. This adds depth and makes each transformation feel meaningful.
Freestyle Transformations: These are transformations players can activate anytime and experiment with.
Temporary vs. Permanent: We’ve introduced both temporary transformations (like shapeshifting for specific quests) and permanent ones (like evolving into different versions).
Creating a complex character customization and transformation system is no small feat, but it’s been an amazing journey! We can’t wait for you all to experience it for yourselves and see how it enhances your adventures in our game. Hello, the player's dialogues and personality will change according to the transformation routines rather than the physical changes. It can reveal special scenes and inner thoughts when physical or mental changes occur. During the transformation routine, the character’s personality and life will shift. For your second question—yes! Each character has their own personal preferences, so transformations can toggle certain routines on or off. However, transformations are easy to perform in the game, so you won’t have to stick to just one.

I was wondering how connected is the player's dialogue and personality to their physical changes along with that, will certain transformations lock us out of certain characters? (sorry if some of this stuff might have been answered in previous devlogs)
