Naofumi has to learn to trust again and that’s a long road to travel after what’s been done to him. And that cursed shield shows what can happen to him if he gives in to his hatred. Luckily, he has best-girl-ever Raphtalia to keep him grounded.

Ehhh, I'm a pretty forgiving person actually;; I try way too hard to always see the good. BUT BUT regardless of that, If you listen to my comments at the end of the episode around timestamp 43:20. I talk about his character and how I don't blame him for being the way he is because he is a flawed character by circumstances....
