I was an only child for a relatively long time, long enough to get a feel for what being an only child is like. And then one day my brother came along and suddenly I had to "be the bigger person" and share my toys and my mom's attention and he was allowed to bother me and my friends, but I wasn't allowed to bother him. And he got way more privileges than I ever did when I was his age It just sucked

My sister and I are 10 years apart, so we didn’t really get on each other’s nerves too much. Still, there’s something to be said for having your own space from time to time. My cousins were closer together, and had to share everything, they fought all the time.
