I love that Toph is the one to ask if Aang really thinks friendships can last more than one lifetime because she does eventually befriend Korra! So they do

I like the fact that most of the conversation between Iro and Zuko the camera shows it as if Zuko was behind bars to show how he is the real one imprisoned (at least in his idea of destiny or family ideals). They do it a few times so next time Zuko visits the prison look out for it.

roku was gone for 12 years not 4. honestly this is one of my favorite episodes. the parallels and everything is so cool between the 2. and I know you mentioned you've watched korra so I'll also mention "friendships transcending lifetimes" being carried over brings tears to my eyes everytime

This episode introduces two of my favourite aspects of the franchise. โFriendships that last lifetimesโ But also the (I think still fan theory, as I donโt think it has been confirmed by the creators) Japanese belief that you wear the face of your loved one in your past life. With Aang looking like Ta Min, Rokus wife.
