July 7 Update

It's difficult to estimate exactly how much time it will take players or how big it will feel, but in terms of the amount of work on my end, I think it at least rivals any other update I've ever put out. This one is definitely going to take two weeks in beta. I want to emphasize that I really do my best to polish each update as I can. This time I counted while I was taking the content from "playable" to "first draft" and I made 253 fixes. Some of those are subjective improvements, but many were bugs or typos that you guys would have reported.
Would the update be more polished if I ran through it ten more times? Of course. But that, more than any amount of hard creative work, is what would lead to burnout. To do it properly and keep myself sane would add at least a week to each dev cycle, which I don't think is for the best. I hope this is a good balance.
Anyway, the update is coming. It has some of everything and I hope everyone will enjoy it. ^-^

Because this is a double update, it needs two weeks in beta. So expect it next weekend, not this one.

So...I don't know if you'll see this, but the picture for this weekly update? That's actually another time the Pink tint held over when it shouldn't have. Maybe it was already reported, but just in case...

Sorry, the art progress has been in $10 posts lately, but there should be a $5 update before too long. The first set of references is done, there's progress on real scenes, and I'm hoping that there will be a chance to really get this established between chapters.

I think that is the reason you have beta in the first place. All of us here are more than happy to work with you and test out the game, so that it is the best possible game that you can make. I know that some here actually go over the code and look for bugs that way while others try to find ways to break the game. Anyway, looking forward to playing that version to see it.
