August 15 Update

- Check out the comic above! For this one, my goal was to write a comic with zero dialogue and no punchline. I hope it makes you smile. ^-^ Also, you can consider it canon that something like this happened at some point.
- Speaking of Annikath's work, she created a Patreon. Though my patrons will get access to all her TLS work, you may be able to get sneak previews of a few images there, plus her original work. There's also a drawing for free art among early patrons!
- If you do Twitter, please consider retweeting the promotional picture Crescentia did for Once Ever After. This has made a measurable impact on Steam wishlists, so it would be nice if it gets more exposure. Though it may be a bit late for this one, there could be future promotions across platforms.
That said, the main topic of this week's post is about timing decisions. Deciding exactly how I apportion my time and schedule projects is essential for productivity, but as we get later in the year, some priorities start to conflict without easy solutions.
Thanks to some helpful patrons, I've gotten the Newgrounds demo for OEA in basically stable shape (it's still available if any patrons want to try it out as a reward). It would have made sense to put it out this weekend, but I decided to delay it because I felt the time commitment (though not huge) would distract me from TLS.
Though I believe that to be the best decision in the long term, it does put OEA at risk of further delays. Nobody responded regarding a map build, but I will need to put in a significant chunk of time to create the final version, then we'll require testing and time on the Steam upcoming list. The problem is, the end of the year is dominated by AAA releases, then the Winter and Chinese New Year sales on Steam are terrible times to release a game. I don't like the idea of delaying the release until early 2022, but since the alternative is a rushed release, I guess that's the decision I need to make.
TWC3 is also complete and I need to decide both on its exact release date and whether I do any more RoyalRoad chapters. Ugh, that's a decision I'm actually putting off, and can't for very long. Very much an energy drain vs marketing question.
Anyway, those are my current thoughts. I hope that this delay leads to increased TLS productivity, instead of regret I didn't use this time to clear out lower energy activities, but work continues and the plan has not changed.

So I've been wondering for the next update the stage is set for destroying that big crystal of ivala. But I want to know if Simon was able to absorb the power of all those shards. And can we dominate Xestris completely? She's still holding onto her delusional loyalty even after the anak pulled a fast one on her. And if it wasn't for mestan he would've taken the power of all those shards for himself. Will we get to destroy Nyst as well? He's cut off from the anak so he can't be rescued and he's had only a fragment of a shard from the anak. He's weak compared to Simon. I'm sure its all going to come together nicely.

Oh ok so that was just toward Kai who is irrelevant cause he dies pretty much immediately after. But yea Simon is definitely a much better main character then either of those 2 chosen goofs could ever be. They are kinda funny on occasion tho. I was cracking up when the Succubus is about to kill Kai and he's like Yea you ever seen 1 that big!? haha

That was there before, but it's essentially just to trick people in the prologue. It has no effect on the rest of the game.

So being that my save has some kind of bug and there are a few things I cant do so I started a new game. I noticed this time around that when i made a certain choice it said something like +1 Corruption. What is this corruption hidden stat for I never noticed it before?

I don't know about post-game comics (though it's possible!), but I can guarantee that there will be some short stories dedicated to the characters after the completion of the game!

You could do it bit by bit too, one map or two when you want, so when you need to do a more effort, it is less painfull. Have a nice day!

Sounds like a though call on hpw to prioritize things, that say its even more hard when we take in consideration you are doing like 4 things at the time....always, now i don't blame you, im a succer for good time managment, but when things get like this i have to nitpick the relevance of things in order to decide. Also the comic is great, silence panels can help a lot more if we as your audience already have way more than the normal context that we need to get what's going on.

Comic's good indeed. Make me wonder, if this was a shonen anime and all the physical-oriented characters (Nalili, Hilstara, Varia, Uyae, Aka...) were to face each other as part the inevitable "martial art" tournament arc, who would come on top? My own headcanon is that since Nalili is the one with most shonen protagonist energy, she's likely to attain the finale, then loses against someone like by special guest star Vhala.

Thank you for offering your thoughts. Since RR allows for pre-scheduled chapters, I decided to try one last experiment. If it doesn't return decent numbers, that might be the last experiment, but at least this way it doesn't regularly distract me.

The comic is cute and does make perfect sense. 'Human' shields are a time honored tactic. I imagine they had a bit of 'fun' during the ". . ." panel and the bath is post coitus. The RR question is an interesting one and lacks a clear answer. One of my favorite authors recently removed all the works from the site and their reasoning was "not attracting new viewers, want to control/moderate comments, maintain exclusivity of the story." These are all good reasons for where they wanted to go with their works and their future plans. For some RR is a good way to create and maintain exposure, but they reached a point where it wasn't helping them anymore and was a hassle that wasn't worth it. What are your goals with the TWC series and is RR beneficial to those goals? Is it worth the effort? Thank you for the update and I hope your weekend was enjoyable.
