April 11 Update
🕑 Added 2021-04-11 23:07:49 +0000 UTCUsually when I give two possible dates, I can hit the earlier one, but... not this time. The content that I wanted to release on Friday is only now finished, and it's barely tested. I'm okay with letting early players handle some testing, but not this much.
There's a silver lining: I get to add content to this update instead of cutting partially finished stuff. What's done is a core nation event involving a new harem member, plus a side quest and some miscellaneous content. With five more days to work, I intend to finish up Iris's harem quest, which is nothing massive but I hope will round out the update nicely.
Meanwhile there are a few other things, starting with something small in a variety of ways:
I have 1000+ followers on itch.io. This doesn't really accomplish anything, but it's kind of neat. Did you know that I haven't released a side project since 2018, and it's actually three full years since my last released RPG? I'm not good at promotion, but in that time I've tried to build my Steam/itch.io followings. Will this translate to any increased success when it comes time to release my current set of projects? Difficult to say, so we'll see.
Regardless, OEA continues forward! We have more maps for you above, moving from Grimmton to the Violent Tale.
- Wasteland North has new poison edges. Better?
- People have justifiably complained that some dungeon maps aren't particularly exciting, and Infected Caverns will probably be among those. I'm not sure what else I could ask the mapper to do, though.
- Not a map, but look at Hood's new battle sprite. This means that the pixel artist isn't MIA anymore! Hopefully we'll also get a more feminine Ulfina from him before he disappears.

You won't get investment returns or a selection of new investments, but there actually is a new item that will go in the profits ledger.

This is the update with the next big reveal if i remember ? When we have a pretty close idea with who is the final boss of the game. I'm really curious about this one.

I've been pretty quiet on all the OEA art, because I haven't played it yet, and don't know the context for any of it. But I just want to say that it all looks pretty damn amazing

The Easter eggs are the custom flowers that were made for that area, but good point. I'm open to adding more, but what? I already asked for all the bones. Are Hood's new colors actually more saturated? I tried to flip between them and I didn't think so. But if I understand you about her boots seeming to change shape, that's something I'll want to ask about.

Poison pools look a bit better. Violent Tale looks good but I wonder why there are Easter eggs everywhere. The dungeon is pretty samey and I think it just needs some variation. Like, at least the Bleak Caverns had some flags and broken pots and stuff to break it up visually. New Hood has... more saturated colors generally? I tried testing the graphics in the game. Her guard animation is a little flashy, as though it has some fiery explosive counterattack magic built in. But it's fine I think. Hood's victory animation is better, with the exception that on the frame when her arm is most lowered, her left boot (our right) elongates and jumps upward on her thigh - her right boot does too but not nearly as much.

Yes Sierra, mjunt is right you have come so far with this game all by yourself. And you should be proud of all you've done.
Don't be too hard on yourself about "release dates". TLS is a -big- game; the last time I played through it took me a week, and that was spending a fair number of hours per day in it; even a full-fledged production RPG from a major studio like Dragon Quest XI or something only takes me a few days more than that. The development timelines for those kinds of flagship RPGs are many years long, and while they have things TLS doesn't (graphics engines and such), they've also got much, much larger teams of people. TLS has to be one of the largest/longest games I've ever seen in the RPGM engine; a several-year development timeline for something that big is really quite normal, honestly.
