October 27 Update

Man, too much stuff is up in the air. Will any of my poor side games finally advance? Eventually, but the timing is uncertain. Can I release a DH novel? Maybe soonish. Will the agents who asked for my full manuscript be positive? Probably not, but it could happen.
I was planning on taking a vacation this year, and I really mean that: I even commissioned a beach vacation image from Annikath... last December. But deadline gave way to deadline, and even when I wasn't pressed, there were just too many big things that could suddenly go in some direction and require my full attention. Or maybe we'll hit the end of the year and not get anywhere. >_>
There are some interesting things going on behind the scenes, but it just feels premature to talk about any of them. I hope I'm laying the groundwork for future projects so that when TLS ends there won't be a lull of early development.
Only one thing is certain: the next TLS update. The epilogue is not a long or complex segment, just a fun romp that caps off the game. It's very clear in my mind now, so there's nothing in the way of getting it to everyone before an unreasonable amount of time passes. Please look forward to it. ^-^

Meme aside, the checks are not meant to be particularly prohibitive, they only catch those attempting to lazily hack their way to the final character.

Funnily, while I did savegame edit in order to get optimal endings on events (just love seeing all the possible 'good' conclusions and have no time for multiple playthroughs) the checks didn't catch me. Then again, I did properly do every single dungeon and mob and did every event to its conclusion, only editing barely enough go get the pathing I wanted (and thus also prbly spending an obscene amount of extra time precalcing every event outcome ._.). Love the meme though :3

I know all too well about not being able to take vacations, so some years ago I had to readjust the definition of what vacation means to me :) Maybe you can adapt this method to your needs: 1) Vacation gives me new experiences and ability to relax by refocusing mt attention and dramatically changing the routine. 2) Vacation does not mean I dont work. With those two bullets accepted as new vacation modus operandi, I've been bouncing around the globe with two bags - one with a few changes of clothes and another one with work laptop and its paraphernalia. If you spend some time planning this out, it can be done during any season, even with a spouse and a rugrat. I've been doing this for years and I can tell you that while its not ideal, it is helluva lot better than nothing.

The part of this meme that really speaks to me is throughout the game I dumped all my Sx into items and would edit my excess investment Pron to a reasonable level just in case of this exact thing after the first optional dungeon pulled the same trick, like Indy carefully measuring out the sand before switching the idol, only to get lazy because it was the final round of investments and not bother, thus getting caught by the anti cheat boulder.

I think this may be my favorite meme the community has made. I don't know why the ^v^ face fitting perfectly on the boulder makes me laugh so much, but it does. Best of luck to your other projects! It's so wild to me that TLS really is ending soon.
